Hi Everyone. Carole here. I’m writing this note from Florida where we’re supposed to be spending a warm March enjoying 19 Yankee Spring Training games and doing minimal office work. In reality, it’s freezing in Florida. Way too cold for baseball and yet we bundle up and sit there for every game.
The good news, of course, is that God is still God, even in less-than-perfect weather. When I wake up He’s there. When I go to sleep He’s there, and when I have difficult issues to deal with He’s always there.
Here are some Scriptures that have been helping me keep things in balance. I hope they’ll help you, too:
When our praise ascends to God, it silences Satan. It cancels his accusations and stops his mouth. Through praise we invoke the presence and power of our God against all the forces that oppose us. (Psalm 8:2)
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.” (James 1:17) How great to know that we need not be afraid as we listen to what is going on in this world. The gifts we need will always be there becasue He changes not.
David said, ” In the morning o Lord, you hear my voice.” He lays his requests before the Lord & waits with expectation for the answer. Lord I want to be like David speaking to you & then waiting expectantly for Your answer. (Psalm 5)
